As a landlord it is important to me that it is almost exclusively regional produce that is used! Cooking honestly and with conscience, respecting animals and nature. That is why the fish, meat, game and sausages that I use come from Kitzbühel, which means I am able to guarantee that the animals have been reared by farmers in this region.

Refurbishment work started in 2009 with the aim of providing guests with environmentally-sound and sustainable comfort, for a well-being holiday that could be enjoyed with a clear conscience.

Located in the centre of the village, arrival by train is an option, with a connecting bus service to the hotel entrance, and there is a little gift available for guests arriving by public transport. Thanks to the great infrastructure a smooth arrival is also made possible by electric car, 'normal' car and by bike.

  • Hiking rucksacks and poles are available to loan on request
  • The half-board option includes buffet breakfast and a 3-course menu to choose from in the evening. Select a soup or starter and from 3 mains (there is always one vegetarian option available). Everything is served to you and you get to enjoy perfect service. We very much emphasise regionality (99% of the produce is from the immediate area) and organic produce as much as is possible.
  • Bathing robes are available to loan at no extra cost just enquire at Reception
  • Winter: 4x per week 2 hours free cross country skiing course
  • Once a week: Wellnessday with Yoga and a short hike, massages (for a fee)

Information about the Hotel Walchseer Hof

  • Our guests can use the indoor and outdoor pools and lake access in our sister hotel, the Bellevue, 200 metres from us, free of charge.
  • The main building has 13 rooms, with views of the lake and the village
  • We have 23 rooms of which 11 are Deluxe suites, with solid wood floors
  • All rooms have solid Swiss pine furnishing, made by local carpenters
  • Private parking spaces are available free of charge at the Hotel Walchseer Hof
  • The hotel has a children's play area and a sun terrace
